15 REAL Reasons You Struggle With Your Weight
How many of these "reasons" are YOU guilty of???? Avoiding these pitfalls is HUGE if you want to shape up! Let me know how you do!
1. You make excuses.
"I don't have time", "My whole family is fat", "I've had three babies", blah blah and blah. This is your life, your only shot. Own it and make it what you want it to be.
2. You're emotional.
It's hard to stick to a plan when you're up, down and all around. If you don't have control over your emotions you will never have control over anything else.
3. You're inconsistent and irrational.
You didn't get this way over night and you're not going to lose it all so quickly either. Saddle up!
4. You're immature.
You can't see past the five minutes that it takes to eat a bowl of mac & cheese. In the moment, you give up everything you want for what you want right now. That's immature thinking.
5. You're depressed.
When people are depressed, there is a disconnect between what they know they should do and what they are actually able to do. This slight imbalance can really be throwing off your efforts. Go see your MD! (and tell them you want a pill that doesn't lead to weight gain!!!)
6. You don't know what the hell you are doing...
BUT YOU THINK YOU DO. This is just annoying. Especially if you're....how should I say this, overweight, still, after doing what you think you know for 20 plus years and you still struggle.
7. You work out too much.
If you still think being lean happens in a gym then you are missing out on approximately 161 hours in a week. Figure that one out.
8. You suck at time management.
If you have time to invite me to play games on Facebook or you DVR 5 hours of TV a day but can't fit in 30 minutes of continuous activity, your priorities are messed up.
9. You have no muscle/metabolism...
because you've dieted so many times and killed it. And yes, that is why you look better in clothes now, maybe, but underneath you are "soft". And yes, that is why you gain weight back so easily.
10. You are misinformed.
Doesn't matter how good you are at not eating or how many calories you burn while you're in Zumba, those two things will never give you a tone lean sexy body. Never. I'm literally sick of waiting.
11. You're looking for the quick fix/magic pill.
I've told you, the closest thing I've found in 17 years is AdvoCare products, but some of you won't listen...But if your friend just spent $200 on a fasting cleanse and lost 20 pounds drinking lemonade and doing 2 hours of cardio a day, you can't wait to sign up! If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
12. You're closed minded and stubborn.
There's actually a wide definition of "fitness". Try something new.
13. You're a people-pleaser.
God forbid you say NO to someone! Keeping busy is a great way to avoid having time to take care of yourself. The world will not crumble if you tell someone NO and it isn't selfish to factor in an hour a day to take care of YOU!
14. You don't plan.
Planning actually takes LESS work and costs LESS money than bitching about it and eating out all the time! Stock up on lean meats that are on sale and buy frozen veggies. Take an hour on Sunday afternoons cooking on the grill for the week.
15. You think fat loss nutrition is the same as dieting.
It's not.
